Crystal King of Seagrove North Carolina is one of this decades most unique folk potters. Born and raised within the rich heritage of the famous artist community, Seagrove, it was destined that Crystal would be able to nuture a talent that would blossom as it has today. As the only daughter of reknown potters Terry and Anna King, Crystal spent her younger years "playing in the clay". By her High School years Crystal was already being recongnized by folk art collectors for her unique style of handbuilding, and colorful use of glazes. Crystal brings a whimsical look to the themes that she centers her work around...themes that most can relate to such as animal, American, and Biblical stories. Today, museums display her work and collectors call from all over the country. Her shows are sold out quickly and most of her extremely limited work is by order only. Crystal's work is an investment and a testiment to the undying culture of southern folk pottery.
